Chemical composition: Hydrated magnesium nitrate (min.90%)
Density: 1.64 g/cm3 at 25oC
Specific gravity 1.53 at 95oC
Melting point: 89oC
Latent heat of fusion: 149 kJ/kg (isothermal max)
Heat capacity (liquid) 3.03 kJ/kgoC
Heat capacity (solid) 1.85 kJ/kgoC
Thermal conductivity (solid): 0.0088 J/sec/cmoC
Thermal conductivity (liquid): 0.0068 J/sec/ cmoC

Combustibility: May accelerate burning if involved in a fire - see MSDS

Dangerous Goods classification - oxidizing substance Class 5.1 - MSDS available on application.

Materials compatibility up to 100oC:

Polypropylene, PVDF, Fluorine rubber and thermo-set resins

Glass and concrete.

Not recommended for extended contact with sulphonyl polyethylene (eg Hyperlon).

It is strongly recommended that intended material usage compatibility be confirmed with qualified materials specialist or with PCP.
